How Wan2GP collects, uses, and protects your data when generating AI videos and images.

This Privacy Policy describes how Wan2GP ("we," "us," or "our") handles personal data when you use our AI video and image generation service at wan2gp.com (the "Service"). By signing up for or using Wan2GP, you accept the practices set out below.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

Creating an account creates these records:

Your email address
A display name (optional)
Profile data returned from third-party identity providers (Google, GitHub) when you sign in via OAuth

2.2 Content You Provide (Generation Inputs & Outputs)

Depending on the generation mode you select, Wan2GP may process:

A text prompt describing the requested video or image
An input image (JPEG / PNG / WebP, up to 10 MB)
A reference video (MP4 / MOV, up to 10 MB; the generator interface may apply mode-specific duration and frame-rate limits) used to guide supported video generation modes

To deliver the result we also process:

The MP4 we produce for you, plus task metadata (mode, resolution, duration, credit cost, timestamps)
Your generation history if you choose features that store past results

Wan2GP does not intentionally extract camera EXIF fields to build a separate profile. The Service reads file headers and may read image dimensions and video duration, frame rate, and dimensions to validate or normalize an upload. Uploaded files may still contain embedded metadata, and we do not guarantee that it is removed before storage or processing. Remove sensitive metadata before uploading if you do not want it included. Uploaded inputs are kept on object storage for seven (7) days only and are then automatically deleted (see §7).

To preserve a selected file across sign-in, Wan2GP may temporarily store it in IndexedDB in your browser. It is cleared after upload, removal, or generation; expired drafts are removed when the generator next loads. You can also remove it by clearing this site's browser data.

You can request deletion of your account and remaining data at any time (see §8).

2.3 Free Tools (the WanGP Page)

The free tools at wan2gp.com/WanGP work without an account. Their inputs (the image you upload and/or the prompt you type) are transmitted from your browser directly to the third-party generation infrastructure that renders the result:

Wan2GP servers do not receive, store, or log your free-tool inputs or outputs
Free-tool results are not saved to any history on Wan2GP — they exist on the page until you leave it, so download anything you want to keep
The third-party infrastructure handles your inputs and results under its own terms and privacy policy — it may log usage, session, IP, and device information, and it controls its own processing, temporary files, and retention periods; Wan2GP does not control any of that. Its servers may be located in other countries (see §9)
The general usage and technical data described in the next section still applies to your visit to that page

2.4 Usage, Device, and Technical Data

Some technical details are captured automatically:

Which model and generation mode you use, resolution choice, and other interaction events
Page views, navigation paths, and request timestamps
IP address, user-agent string, basic device/browser identifiers
Inferred coarse location (city / region) derived from IP
Referrer URL, if your browser sends one

2.5 Payment and Subscription Information

New purchases are temporarily paused. For subscriptions and transactions created before the pause, the applicable third-party payment processor may continue to handle renewals, cancellations, refunds, disputes, and transaction records. Wan2GP itself does not see or store full card numbers, bank credentials, or payment-provider passwords. A processor may collect:

Card / bank details, billing address, and tax-related fields they require
Transaction IDs, subscription status, and refund history

We retain only what we need to manage your access — for example, your subscription ID, plan tier, current period dates, and renewal status.

The privacy policy of the processor identified on your receipt or billing record applies directly to the data it holds. Contact support@wan2gp.com if you need help identifying the processor for a historical transaction.

3. How We Use Information

The data we hold supports the following purposes:

Running the Service and delivering generated videos to you
Routing your prompts, input images, and reference videos to our AI inference provider so the model can produce an output
Tracking subscription status, credit balance, and usage caps
Sending account-related email (verification codes, receipts, important notices)
Responding to support requests and feature feedback
Diagnosing failures, improving reliability, and monitoring performance
Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and security incidents
Meeting legal and regulatory obligations

4. Cookies and Analytics

4.1 Cookies

We rely on cookies and similar technologies for:

Authentication and session management (essential)
Locale / theme / consent preferences
Aggregate usage analytics

Most browsers let you block or clear cookies; doing so may break sign-in or other essential features.

4.2 Analytics Tools

We use analytics tools to understand how the Service is used and where it can be improved. Those tools may set their own cookies and collect aggregated event data.

Disclosure happens only in the cases below:

Service Providers / Processors: companies we hire to host, secure, store, analyze, authenticate, charge, or run AI inference on our behalf
Legal & Safety: when compelled by law, when defending our terms, or when needed to protect rights, property, or safety
Business Transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing event, or asset sale, with appropriate confidentiality safeguards

We do not sell personal information.

6. Third-Party Services (Key Providers)

The Service is built on top of these providers, each governed by its own privacy policy:

fal.ai — runs supported AI generation models; receives the prompts or temporary input URLs needed to produce your requested output
Kie.ai — runs supported AI generation models; receives the prompts or temporary input URLs needed to produce your requested output
Third-party generation infrastructure (free tools) — the free tools on the WanGP page send your image or prompt from your browser directly to remote generation infrastructure that renders the result; Wan2GP servers do not receive these files (see §2.3)
Cloudflare — hosting (Workers), object storage (R2), CDN, and DDoS / bot protection
Neon — managed PostgreSQL database for accounts, subscriptions, and tasks
Third-party payment processors — historical subscription billing, renewals, refunds, disputes, and transaction records; new purchases are temporarily paused
Resend — transactional email (verification codes, receipts)
Better Auth + Google / GitHub OAuth — sign-in and identity
Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity — aggregate usage analytics

7. Data Retention

We keep different categories of data for different periods:

Uploaded images and reference videos: automatically deleted from storage seven (7) days after upload — our AI provider only needs short-lived URLs, and we do not need the source files after that
Generated outputs (videos and images): effective August 20, 2026, automatically deleted from storage thirty (30) days after creation — this applies uniformly to outputs created before and after that date. Download anything you want to keep within 30 days. Your task history remains visible, but expired files can no longer be played or downloaded. You may also delete outputs individually at any time. (Outputs created before August 20, 2026 were previously retained while your account was active; this 30-day update was announced on July 21, 2026 with a 30-day notice period.)
Free-tool (WanGP page) inputs and outputs: not stored by Wan2GP at all — they travel from your browser to the third-party generation infrastructure and back; download results before leaving the page. Retention on that infrastructure is governed by the provider's own policy — Wan2GP does not control its logs, temporary files, or retention periods
Account profile and settings: retained while your account is active
Billing records and invoices: retained as long as required for tax, accounting, and dispute handling
Security logs and rate-limit counters: retained for a short, bounded period for fraud prevention and troubleshooting

After you delete your account, we hard-delete personally identifiable data within thirty (30) days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records).

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may exercise the following rights with respect to your personal data:

Access a copy of your data
Correct inaccurate or outdated information
Delete your data, subject to legal or contractual retention
Receive an export in a portable format (where applicable)
Object to or restrict certain processing
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

9. International Data Transfers

Wan2GP and its subprocessors operate globally; your data may be processed in the United States, the European Union, Asia-Pacific, and other regions. By using the Service from outside any one of those regions you accept that international transfers may occur, with the safeguards required by applicable law.
